i have a 1999 Warrior 1891SC. It is a 18ft fiberglass walleye boat. The motor is a "like new" 1996 Johnson 150 (not fast strike)...

I had it in the water today and here are the stats with no weight in the boat
and 10galons of gas..

48mph @ 5500RPM 14.5x19 pitch aluminum OMC prop
The boat planes out extremly fast at not much over half throttle.. plane time is under 1 sec at WOT

Im looking to buy a stainless prop.. should i stay with a 19 pitch? should i try a 21 pitch? are there any special kinda props that work better on walleye boats, perhaps more rake??

I think warrior makes a fast hull design.. not sure.. thanks for any help..

You'll need to max out the current set up before making a decision on a new prop. How high is the motor? IE - where is the AV plate in relation to the true bottom of the hull? Can you use close to 100% of your trim?

You're right at about 11% slip. Not bad but there may be room for improvement. I wouldn't go to a higher pitch just yet. It might be possible but some testing may be required.

My trim gauge reads about half when it stops pulling the boat out. it feals like it should pull the boat out a little more.. motor might be to high.. the cav plate is directly lined up with bottome of the boat.. and the hull is a V all the way back.. no pad or flat...

OK, that's about right. Obviously what you'll need is a prop with more bow lift. Which won't be that hard to find compared to an aluminum prop.

Do you have a jackplate?

No jack plate. i just filled the 40gal tank up and put my 140lb gf in the boat..
i think it planes out better now, (gas tank is located under the floor, central. its a SC so me and the old lady were in about the middle of the boat) and i didnt lose any speed.. maybe .5mph but thats hard to tell with varying conditions I still feal like its planing out way to fast.. whats my next step befor deciding on a prop, maybe an aggressive cup on a 19pitchSS. or a 21 pitch SS with vent holes?? should i try lowering my motor a hole? i dont quite understand why i cant trim it up to 3/4 trim. will a 21SS drop my RPM's too much? i am right at max RPM 5400 with a 19pitch.

I'm not an expert but it seems to me a stainless in the same pitch would put you at about the same rpm with a little more speed. It may also give you a little more trim.

The trim angle has a lot to do with blade shape, design and material. And a lot to do with hull design. If you were to order a ss prop today I'd recommend something like a 19 Stiletto.
