Hope some one can answer a few questions. I`ve just bought a new 20 hp 4 stroke nissan. Wanted to know if props for the 18 fit it looks like everthing I have been able to find out is that they will ? Also i`am kinda a heavy guy and my boat is an older 15 ft fisher with stick steering and was wondering about a 4 blade prop helping getting up on plane better? It has standard prop with 10 pitch on it.

When you say stick steer do you mean a tiller on the motor or a lever mounted to the boat. There seems to be confusion sometimes.Stick steer is a lever mounted to the boat. You shouldn't make a prop selection without knowing your present max rpm and speed. They like to run 4 strokes at the top of their rpm range.Have you tried moving weight forward and trimming the motor in?Try moving forward to max arm reach perhaps sit on a cooler
just to to see if it helps. There are tiller extensions that might get you to the middle seat.Cost a lot less than a prop.A 4 blade can help low end performance usually with some loss of top speed.
You also may be able to improve performance by raising the motor vertically.

Re: props

My stick steering is from front of boat. I have no way to check rpms. Just thought about haveing a spare prop and thought about the 4 blade prop.
