props alum. or ss

new on boating bought a fishing boat with a50 hp johnson all new wot rpms 4500- 5500 prop alum 15p top speed 28 gps at 5600 rpms too much changed prop to a ss with 17p and the top speed is 30 gps but the rpms are still too close to 5500 already moved engine up and down jack plate and moved trim is there adiference in alum props and ss props. should i go to a ss 19p thanks guys .

Absolutely NOTHING wrong with 5600RPM. That's where your best hole-shot will come from, and your best fuel economy, and, to top it off, the engine will live much longer. It has no clue about 100RPM difference as far as over-reving, which there really isn't any issue in your cases.
19P SS will put you in the 5000 area...on a 50 Johnson, that's NOT where you want to be...
