Props for old Carver

I have a 1977 Carver Mariner with the twin 351 (Merc 233) inboard engines. The owner's manuals are no longer available thorugh Carver Yachts so I do not have the information to properly fit new props. (The existing props are replacement and MAY not have been properly fitted.)
Does anyone have an owners manual or specs for this engine configuration? I need the:
(1) top end RPM limit
(2) the transmission reduction (which is not the same as the V-drive reduction).
All of that would be in the operating/ owners manual.
Thanks for any help.

Ayuh,......

I think you'll find that those old Fords like to run at about 4200/4600rpms when they're stretching their legs.......
Can't help ya with the ratios of your Transmission....

Both the V-drives and the transmissions should have ID plates on them.

What kind of transmissions are they?

Carvers website only shows back to 1980. I assume you've asked them about the information?

With no other info your going to have to count input RPM (usually at the front of the crank) and the output RPM of the transmissions to determine the the ratios. Some shops will have a tachometer that uses reflective tape on the rotating parts to measure RPM.
