How do you know what prop to put on your engine. I have a 85 hp force, and the prop needs replaced, but I don't know what to order.

Re: Props

If your old prop performed well, you hit approximately 4900-5200 rpm at full throttle, and holeshot was acceptable, then replace with a prop of the same diameter and pitch.

There is lots to read here:

http://www.boat-props.com/

Click on the "help" links on the left of the page.

If you need more help, post a reply here. State your WOT rpm's, and the diameter and pitch of your current prop. If unknown, post all the numbers that are stamped in the prop. You may have to remove the prop to see the numbers.
