Hello friends at iboats,

I have an '86 Yamaha ProV 150. I'd like to know if it has a built-in pitot tube and if so, where does the line connect at the motor?

I'd also like to know what is the best shop/repair manual for this engine. Should I go with genuine Yamaha?

Thanks,
Craig

Re: ProV 150 Pitot Tube and Manual

if it does, and I think it did, the tube is on the leaging edge of the gearcase and the hose runs up the gearcase to a nipple just above the case then on up the swivel shaft and enters the lower cowl under the hood.
look just at the fwd edge below the motor mounts and see if there is a hose about 3/16th in diameter or for the tiny metal tube on the leading edge of the gearcase just above the prop shaft centerline.
as far as manuals the 86 yamaha manual is rather sparse. however its a very simple engine. most any manual will do.
