I had my boat in to get a transom replaced. I took delivery of it and it has a broken PS hose. It's an 87 sea ray with 260hp v8, so it's 20 years old. I can't find any sign of dry rot. Is there any reason I shouldn't make them pay for it?

I assume they pulled on it or got it stuck in a motor mount or something like that.

If they are too blind to see that before it leaves, its time for a new shop!!

I'm pretty ticked off at this shop for a multitude of reasons. I took it to a highly regarded fiberglass shop that used a local marine repair shop, and I think they are also mad at the marine shop over my boat. But, I didn't take it to them on my own and won't ever be back.
