I need to do a gimbal bearing and replace the exhaust manifolds and risers. Can I do this after I winterize?
This is on a merc 454 with a bravo1

Thanks

Ayuh,..... You can do yer repairs any time ya want,......

I store mine Dry,......

If yer usin' antifreeze, it still don't matter, you'll just be spillin' it sooner, rather than later,.....

Yes, will be winterizing with antifreeze. The block should be fine as the antifreeze will still be in there? and there's no antifreeze in the out drive so it won't matter...
Just making sure, thanks!

Antifreeze is not needed, and as Bondo says "air don't freeze" but if its there it just pours out, don't bother with replacing.

It has been air for me over my last 10 years of boat ownership.
