89’ baja sport 250, 454, bravo one. Pulling the engine. Main question is if I have to remove the exhaust manifolds first? I’m thinking they do to make room and gain access to the engine mounting bolts underneath. It would definitely create more room but just don’t know if it’s required or not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It's not required to remove mans, but if your unable to get at the front and reap mounting bolts, battery cables, and everything else that needs to be disconnected, then may want to remove them.

If you do remove them, make it easier by getting some 3/8 all thread rod and cut to about 5 inches. Remove the bolts on each end of the man. Then screw in all thread, and then remove the rest of the bolts in the middle. Now you can slide the ma off the all thread and lift out.
