pull the drive

remove fuel, water, electrical connections

disconnect throttle and shift cables

disconnect/remove gear lube monitor line (if equipped)

remove exhuast boot clamps at y-pipe

remove rear mount bolts and front mount bolts

find sufficient equipment for lifting engine

connect a sturdy chain to engine lifting rings

remove engine

Go to the Adults Only sticky and download manual #25. Section 2A is all about removal and installation.
Also download manual #14. That will give you info for removing the drive. (Yes, you have to pull the drive first)
There are plenty of pictures and instructions. Be careful of the lifting points you use on the engine. Some may look like lifting eyes, but aren't.
