I just bought a yamaha 6 hp 4 stroke. It pulls to the right, worse at wot. I tried setting trim level but made no difference. Any suggestions? Thanks, Allen
called torque steer, i don't believe 6hp has an adjustable trim tab above the prop. buy there should be a tension screw on the swivel that can be tighten, to help the problem, just makes it a little harder to turn.
Tashasdaddy, thanks for responding. I have it tight as it will go but doesnt help the pulling. It is bad enough that if i would let go the tiller it would slam all the way to the right. The faster the worse it gets
it should be able to tighten, so that it stays in place. a lot of people that use them for trolling do this, and then turn their main motor for steering from the remote helm.
