pulling to the right

I have a 2000 model Yamaha 90 hp. It has never pulled before but now it is pulling to the right .The trim tab is loose enough to turn verry easily by hand. I have been told that this could be my problem. I have not been able to find a way to tighten this up . How do I know where to set it back to ? Thank You <br /> Steve

get a new one, then set it the same way it is pulling, if it pulls to the right, turn the tab to the right and tighten. this will take some time to get right. set it for the average speed and trim you do.

Steve,<br />I think you will find a plastic plug on top of the lower unit. If you remove it and look inside there is a bolt that tightens the trim tab. You will have to use a 3/8 or 1/4 drive as the hole is too small to get a 1/2 socket in.<br />Set it as per Naughty recommends
