20' V-hull, 1992 200hp Johnson.

Idle and harbor speed is OK, beyond that it pulls to the right very hard! Trimming will eliminate, but I'm wondering what the proper procedure is for setting the trim tab that is just above the prop? Thanks.

Re: Pulling to the right.

Pulls to the right, point it a little to the right. But if triming the motor eliminates the problem I don't think the real problem is with the trim tab. I've seen some boat hulls that just don't track straight with a lot of the keel in the water. The Cajun Bay boats are the worse I've seen.

Going through the plain, is the boat balanced and level in the water, (side to side)?

Turn the trailing edge of the trim tab in the direction of the pull.

DJ is right. I was having a brain fart. Too many pivot points for my mind to decipher.
