Pump assembly problem

So I put a post on here other day how my tilt trim wasnt working correctly, it would only go up 6 inches and come back down, etc. So I was gonna pump some fluid in it and hopefully that would work. On the pump assembly there is a flathead screw near the bottom used for the fluid and a little over halfway up is a Phillip's head screw that also had fluid coming out of it when I would remove screw. My local boat dealer said fluid isnt supposed to be up there so my pump assembly is done for. It's a 77 model too which they dont make anymore so idk what to do. Does anyone know of any other options I could look into doing?

If mine, I would try to get my hands on a service and parts manual for t. and t. assembly ('77 or close). But there are always aftermarket units -- have a Panther unit that is nice (well-built).
