I've been looking for a replacement PTT pump in the event I cannot rebuild mine. There is such a difference in price between Yamaha, Mallory, Arco, Sierra etc. Is there really that much of a difference in quality and performance from OEM and after market? Anyone replace pump with one of these after market ones and would you buy that brand again?

Re: Pump Prices

we've been using Arco parts for years here in the shop and haven't had any problems...they're made up in Pensecola and carry a one year warranty like OEM

X2 - I live in P'cola and the place began and an alt./starter rebuild company many many years ago. They evolved into the industry they are today and their products are very well made and all new, not reman. I've used them for starters, trim and tilt motors and similar items with no problems. They should be significantly cheaper than mfr.
