hey guys, found a good deal on a '97 Bayliner with a 2005 Merc opti 115 saltwater. I'm excited that i'll possibly own my first fuel injected o/b in my budget. Im supposed to be going to check it out on fri or sat and was wondering if theres anything scpecific to look for? The owner told me the tilt and trim isnt working. Seems kind of premature for that to fail. but worse case scenerio, how much $ would i be looking at to repair? aside from that he told me it runs great since he purchased new in 2005. I plan on bringing a compresssion tester and cash to see if a test ride is possible( not sure if you can manually adjust tilt since pump isnt working?). The boat is 17.5' and weighs 1800lbs. What kind of top end mph's could i expect from a properly running motor? (will bring my gps) Anything else specifically to look for? thanks!
