I need a couple of push-pull controls and housing. They will control the open/close for the fuel line and the fuel return line.

I’ve been web searching for days and can only find a single model thru West Marine. Any idea where I can get these things? I also need the appropriate brass valves for the fuel lines. Thanks!

Hmmmmmm... Wouldn't a replacement choke cable ( Auto Zone) from a car work ( other than the rusting problems if you use in salt water)?????

Re: Push-Pull Controls for Fuel & Fuel Return Lines

Thanks Snapper and Rich.

I’ve been all thru the Teleflex website. They make (distribute?) the critters in the photo above. Special order only from West Marine?…there has to be other sources!

I have come across that ball valve Snapper tossed out there, too. The original diesel tank had a valve with a lever like the typical Apollo ball valves. Initially I didn’t care either way but I read some of the design parameters for push/pull applications. The torque needed at the valve has to be multiplied by a value relative to the all the bend radii of the cable when it is installed/routed. A small difference in the valve lever size can make a big difference in cable size needed…if I want to do this right. :)

I was hoping to be able to isolate the fuel at the tank without having to pull up the floor to do it. Maybe I should just hard plumb the fuel line to an area where I want to install the Walbro, Gulf Coast and Racor filters for the fuel polishing system. There should be plenty of valves in that! :)

Hey Snapper-thanks again for the links on fuel polishing! Found a 24v Walbro in-line diesel fuel pump on Ebay, too. :)

If the torque is a problem why not just make up a longer arm for the valve? Should be easy to do. Make sure you exercise the valves regularly or the cables will be jammed up when you need them most.
