I recently installed a new push to choke ignition (508180). I thought I was being real careful about the wiring. But now the front trim does not work. The fishfinder on front does not work. The trim button on engine and and gear shift does work. The kill switch works also. Did I get something mixed up. All suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you disconnect wires on the battery? Make sure you hooked all of them up again.

And what are you working on?

All wires are hooked back up. My ignition sense to if had a short in it. I had to turn the ignition off a couple of times to turn motor off. Felt like ignition was wore. So I replaced it. Everything works great except for those two problems

GA_Boater, your suggestion about the wiring got me to thinking. So I checked the breakers by the batteries and guess what one was tripped. I turned it back on and trim and fishfinder started working. When I winterized my boat my young grandson must have pushed it. If it wasn't for your idea about the wiring I probably would not of thought about it. THANKS!!!!!
