Which is the least amount of hassle to drain engine oil?
An auto oil drain that fits into the drain plug then out through the transom,
or an electric pump that pumps out from the dipstick
I assume installing the auto drain one just gets a little messy 1st time its done.

:)
Many thanks in advance

Hi Peter
I use a 12V pump which I connect in the cigarett contact and that is very easy, when the oil is hot I help the pump in the beginning by sucking in the end of the tube where the oil shall come out, when the oil comes close I put the tube in a can, and the rest is done in no time.
Regards
Affa

Hello
the least amount is take it to the shop :)
the second is to install the drain but most hulls I work with this is impossible with the engine in place. most do like affa says and suck it back out of the dip stick. if the stick is original marine it should go to the bottom of the oil pan
good luck and keep posting
we have a machine called the Sluurrrper wich works wonderfully
it will pull 6 qts of cold oil from the sump in 2 minutes and recharges on shop air in 3 min. compleatly portable when charged

I use the auto drain out the bilge hole. Oil has to be warm and it takes 20 minutes to drain, but I'm not in any hurry. I like to get all the old stuff out so I walk away and let her drip---likewise on the drive unit.
