QD 21 Bearing Housing Damaged

Hi guys, I am in the process of re-sealing the lower unit of my 1960 Johnson 10hp QD-21 and everything was going well until I came to the bearing housing (part #0377186) under the water pump. I have been really struggling to get the seal out and last night I damaged the bearing housing beyond repair . So now I need to find a part that is no longer made. I am new to the outboard world so I am reaching out for help of where/how to find one. There is one on ebay right now but it looks to be in rough shape and still has the seal in it so I will be on the same position of getting out.

I am having the same seal removal issue with the gear case head but I haven't ruined that yet.

You use a Dremel or similar tool to carefully weaken the seal till it falls out.-----Your location ?

Thank you racerone the dremel i will try on the gear case head seal. I am in central Wisconsin.

keep looking on E-Bay or try--------------------evinrudeparts.ca--------They may be able to offer you some help.

I was able to get the seal out of the gear case head in 10 min with the dremel and no damage. Now I need to find a new bearing housing.
