Qu about marking on 30HP gear case

Can anyone please explain the meaning of the numbers 13x 26 on this 30hp Mariner

Its your gear ratio. 13:26 = 2.00-1

Are 13 and 26 the number of teeth on the pinion and the gears?

yes it should be. Easy to check put a mark on the prop shaft and turn the drive shaft. Drive shaft should turn 2 times for 1 of the propshaft.
