I will apologize now if this appears twice in this forum, I apparently don't know what I'm doing. Anyway, I recently bought a 1963 Alumacraft that the owner said was a Queen 16. I have looked all.over the internet for another queen 16 but haven't seen one. All I have seen are queen merriest, and queen of the waterways, neither which look anything like the boat I have. I tested to Alumacraft customer service the number I found stamped on the transom brace. The number was Q551. I have'nt heard back from Alumacraft yet, after all it's Saturday evening, so I was hoping in the meantime any of you guys out there have heard, seen, or own a Queen 16. Any comments would greatly be appreciated.

Alumacraft will respond to you soon. I've contacted them twice for my old boats and they were great with getting the information to me.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Enjoy that boat.

Yeh I know. I tried to include some pictures, but all that happened was it send my first entry into cyberspace that's why I apologized in the beginning, just in case it happens to turn up twice. I will try again because I am quite proud of her. She needs a lot of work though, but it's going to be a long winter.

Wow,25 years. Have you done any modifications to it ie: seating, floor plan?

I am not sure but think I have a Queen sixteen also. The only identification I can find is "Q558" stamped on the transom brace. I am planning on restoring it this winter and would like to know for sure what I have and any specifications original layout etc.

What I did was send Alumacraft customer service the number, in your case Q558, and within a couple of days they responded. My number was Q551 so I would say yours is most likely a Queen 16.

Re: Queen 16 again

Alumacraft sent an e-mail of the original sales brochure. It sounds like according to the brochure, the boat had a open floor plan with a bench seat in front. I removed the bench seat and put in pedestal seats. Its rated for up to 80hp. Mine has a 50hp Yamaha. I haven't had it in the water yet, be the previous owner said it motivated pretty good. But then again he is 95yrs old so have to see for myself.
