I have an 87 Mercruiser 3.0 with an alpha 1 drive. I was getting very serious torque steer to the left. Members on here told me to adjust my trim anode behind the prop, it was adjusted to the right. If I turn it to be dead on straight, inline with the skeg, would I get the opposite problem or should I be ok?

Re: Question about anode adjustment

If you keep it dead on straight with the skeg you will get a little pull.............
Adjust the rear of the tab in the direction of the 'pull'.....
Ie. If it steers hard left, turn the rear of the tab left & it will help to reduce it......JK

Re: Question about anode adjustment

I think you want to adjust it so that it's about halfway between full left and dead on straight. Bring some tools with you so you can play with it at the lake and get it just right.
