I might be buying another boat, its a 1985 Invader 170, 17' bowrider with the 3L 4-cylinder on a steel trailer. Its a far drive and im trying to decide what vehicle to take. The guy has no clue what it weighs other than "my dodge caravan towed it". I searched online and came up empty handed. Any help is appreciated.

I have a 17' bowrider with Yacht Club trailer and my 2.9ltr Colorado 2 wheel drive has no problem towing, launching or retrieving.Fully loaded it is about 2300#.

My advice...whichever vehicle gives you the largest safety margin...its a new-to-you boat, you don't know how it will behave...gas isn't crazy pricey right now.

That's just my $.02
