Question about manuals

Hi...I downloaded the appropriate service manual for my Mercruiser and it was a life saver (not to mention a money saver...the real manuals are pricey). Thanks for that info.

I have since sold the boat with the Mercruiser 470 and now have an 88 Sea Ray Seville with a 135 Sea Ray branded Mercury outboard. I'm just curious as to why the Mercruiser manuals are available as a download and the outboard manuals are not. Or are they? Any info as to where to find them as a download or even a good place to buy them for even a little less than the dealer charges. A local dealer quoted me $149 for my manual.

Re: To Don S: Question about manuals

Moving to Merc outboard forum.
There was a thread in this forum that a member posted that had a link to Merc manuals. Most were 90 and newer, but you might want to have a look around, or maybe someone here remebers the thread. I do know I helped him get them posted in this forum
