Question about release valve on 86 110hp

I just got a message from the dealer stating that my power trim motor is finished and also my release valve.
My question is how much is a release valve and would a faulty one cause air in the system or cause the motor to slighltly trim down while full out.

Don't know price of valve. But,yes it would cause your engine to "drift" down.
