Are the front set of roller wheels on an ez loader trailer supposed to be snug against the bottom of the boat or is there supposed to be some play in the wheels they make alot of noise going down the road.

thanks for any answers

Re: Question about roller trailers

They should be snug against the hull. Remember that they are the only support for the hull and they are at very few locations as compared to the gentle lift of the water. Too few support spots on a hull equals damaged and hogged hulls.

Keep them equally tight.

Re: Question about roller trailers

Ideally all the rollers should share the load equally, while that's more in theory than reality most of the time, they all should be supporting some weight. An unsupported roller means another roller is doing double duty and the hull in that area may be seeing too much pressure where that roller contacts the hull.
