Does the installation of Smart Tabs require a through the hull hole and a washer/nut on the back side of the transom? If it does, I'll have a problem with installation because I have a hard time getting any reach back there because of the engine, fuel tank and other items that block my reach. I'd sure like to have better steering at slow speeds on my 1983 16 ft I/O Invader and from what I've read the Smart Tabs should do it.
