Question About The Drive On My Boat...Please Help.

Hey guys. My Uncle had some kind of speed boat that he gave me, but after getting it i realized i don't have the time or moneyto fix it up. I'm trying to figure out how much the drive is worth because i'm moving soon and need to clean out my yard. I can't seem to find info on it anywhere. I am also selling the 454 Big Block and transmission and prop that is attatched to it.

On the drive, it says:

Arneson TM Drive
By Borg-Warner
Model 17-21-003
MFG. By Warner Gear DlV., Muncie, in USA

Arneson says it all, some of the fastest boats in the world run Arneson surface drives.
The kid kicked me off the TV so I am bored and looked this up, not your model but none the less

I think it would be worth your time to find someone that knows what you have and why are you parting the boat, why not sell complete, could be worth more.

Thanks for your info. I am willing to sell complete also, but i wasn't sure if anyone wanted the boat also. The boat itself is in good condition but the seats have rotted. It's been sitting for a while. I also pulled the motor to replace the starter and i basically just put the motor back in without hooking back up all the electronics and some other stuff. The engine compartment is a bit of a mess. But hey it needs to go.

Absolutely one of the fastest / coolest drives around. But Howard Arneson is a pretty darn sharp guy. Ever heard of the Arneson pool sweep?

Hang in there, someone who knows what that drive is will come along. To those who know what it is, it's worth a lot.
