Question about water/oil mix in lower unit

I never ended up applying gasket sealer to my gearcase halves which led to lots of water getting in my oil (but only for a second, then I took it apart). Am I required to completely clean out every bearing including the ones pressed in for my drive shaft? I'm not sure how to go about this, since I don't want to take them out again (they are brand new). Will I be OK to leave some of the oil/water mix in, and then do an oil change again after a few hours run time? Thanks

Are you sure the leaking is from the gearcase parting line and not any of the seals? It's OK to change the gear oil a few times after resealing to get the residual water out.
