I have a 1995 Johnson V6 150 Hp Model J150GLEOM that I am working on for a friend. He burned a hole in #3 piston. Upon pulling the piston I found the rings "welded" to the piston. The cylinder head for that piston when cleaned up has a lot of very small pits in one area of the top of the combustion chamber but on the head. They are right next to where the "O" ring meets the cylinder head. Do I leave the pits as they are? If no, how do I repair the area?
I also found just about every small hole for coolant to flow in the cylinder head to be plugged with rtv. Any thoughts?
Thanks
