From my post on April 14 about WOT timing on my 115 cf: I set the timing at 24deg, taking into account the 4deg. increase. It was set at 20deg. before I changed it. Seems to start a little easier now. My question is, does it matter what the idle timing is? Now it's about 2deg. BTDC at 1200rpms on the muffs.

Re: Question for Dhadley

We dont pay too much attention to exact idle timing. A lot depends on each motor's backpressure and things like that.

We do pay a lot of attention to the top rpm timing. Anytime we set it statically we check it under a load too. I think you'll be close but check it anyway.
