Seems to me I read or heard about this somewhere, please help me out.

Is it true that in England they have a recycling program for TV's whereby you pay a fee when you buy the TV and the money funds a factory where old TV's are dismantled to eliminate the hazardous parts (lead, etc) from hitting the land fills?

If this is true what other consumer items are part of this recycling program? Thanks, Ken
