In reference to P.V. and bomar76

I put the boat in the water, started it and let it warm up for a minute. After about 45 minutes of 55 mph, I entered a "no wake zone" and eased off the throttle. At this point the boat quit running not to start again until the engine was cool. You stated that it wasn't the module. What are your thoughts on what it could be then?

"Not to start again until the engine was cool" ... Is/was the engine hot???? Engine would crank but not start????? Any ignition spark when you tried to start it??? Was there fuel being shot down into the carb when you acivated the accellerator pump??

In prior posts keep saying "engine would not crank".
Does it crank or not? You never clarify that.
If it does not crank over it's NOT the module.

If it does crank, but doesn't start, it could be the module.
Did you try the diagnostics flow chart when hot?
The time to test it is when it is acting up.

You could take a can of electrnoics cooler spray out with you and when the symptoms appear again, spray just the module real well with the cold shot and crank engine. If it starts, you know you have a heat related problem with the module and it's time for a new one. If it doesn't, I'd suspect the sensor in distributor.

I still think it's the module, but without testing it at the appropriate time....who knows.
