Here is a tricky one.

Can anyone tell me the sizes of the standard ROCHESTER quadrajet METERING JETs and rods used on the Mercruiser 5.0 or 5.7?

I am sure my Merc 5.0 is fitted with an automotive qjet and I want to ensure it is fitted with the appropriate metering equipment.

Does the carb on there now have a small clear hose running from the carb to the fuel pump? If not it is a auto carb. Get rid of it and get a marine carb. The hose is there to direct fuel from a leaking fuel pump diaphragm into the carb instead of into the bilge. BOOM!

pretty sure all the jets and rod specs are in the Mercruiser manuals in the fuel system section for all models equipped with Q jets.

Thanks for the advice and the Explosion Hazards and Boom scare warnings.

I should add the boat has a Gasoline Fume Detector fitted.
