Rodbolt

I ordered a tiller for my 04 F50. I rec'd it today from UPS. I pulled it out of the Yamaha box, and heard a lose part in the handle. I unscrewed the bottom to look inside. Everything looked good nothing broken. There was a small washer and a small spring laying loose in the area. I looked closely and could not see were they go. Any ideas? I have pictures taken and I can email them to you. Thanks!

Re: Question? for Rodbolt

Found the problem. The internal backing on the kill switch was broken off. The washer and spring was the internal components in the housing. It broke where it screws in at the threads. Can I disconnect the wire at the kill switch and still run the motor until the new kill switch comes in from Yamaha?

Re: Question? for Rodbolt

Only reason not to would be safety. The motor will run fine since the kill switch takes the ignition to ground.
