Question for Rodbolt

In reply to your ealier post.I shorted the overtemp sensor wires and the alarm horn works. Also the volt meter never changes before or after it starts to drop RPM's. All wire connectors in the motor compartment look shiny and new. It acts like it is going into a rev-limiting state but all wiring looks good. Could it be faulty CDI box that is getting hot and causing the problem?

I almost forgot to mention that on one occation when it just dropped to 2000 RPM's that I hit the trim switch for just a split second and it almost threw me down in the floor when it took off and ran fine for the rest of the day.
