I have had an opportunity present itself and had a question for you guys doing this for a while. This business would require processing credit cards off of the internet. It seems manually transferring credit card information to the banking system is inherently error prone. How are you doing it?

My wife and I process our credit cards through paypal, that way I don't have to have a merchant account and for the most part never see the customers credit card numbers, I simply send them and invoice and they pay the bill. Has worked out quite well for us for over 10 years now, I have no fixed monthly fees for statements and such, just a small percentage fee for each transaction processed. They have several different options available depending on your needs, if I remember correctly they even have an option for processing with mobile devices as well.

I've been hearing bad things about paypal, maybe it's their relationship with fleabay.

Well, as with all services misunderstandings happen, but I have been using since they first started up and never have had a problem with them, we have completed 10s of thousands of transactions through them and never a glitch ever, in Dec. my paypal debit card number was compromised, I called and the money was refunded in about 10 minutes, they canceled that card and I had a new one in my hands in less than 5 days. Of course, I have never had a problem with ebay either and my first account with them was started two days after they started up ebay. I do know that some people refuse to use either service, but I know a heck of allot that do use their services with no problems at all.
