question on bassperator pump

I'm all of a sudden getting water in the hull of boat.....when I pull the plug to drain, water also comes out of the live well pump that is next to the plug. never noticed this before. Does this mean that the pump is faulty and needs to be replaced. It still fills up the live wells. I really don't know much of how the pump works.

You have a bad livewell pump. The housing is apparently cracked and since the pump intake is below the water line, water gets into the hull through the pump. Inspect the pump carefully but more than likely it is the source of the problem. You might make sure the inlet and outlet fittings are tight and that the hoses are not broken.
