! have a 1989 40hp evinrude and I recently changed the inline fuel filter. The old one was full of gas and since changing the new oneit will not fill up on pumping and at the end of the day after fishing it is empty. Any suggestions.
If the filter is laying at an angle it will not completely fill but it causes no harm. The engine will run just fine. The only way it will fill completely is if it vertical or almost vertical.
