So I am going to rebuild or clean the carb, but am confused on how to remove the 4 linkages connected with the wires and the black plastic pieces. Do they pop off or do i unscrew the gold posts/needle to remove this part? any help is appreciated a pic of the 4 linkages is below.

also is there a special way to disconnect this spring form the electronic choke. I feel like touching it will break it lol?

Re: question on Removing Carb from 1969 85hp engine model 85993e

Just pop the black connectors off of the needle valves, the whole adjustment assembly will come off as one part.
Look on the end of the shaft that the spring wraps around, there should be a tiny o-ring that holds the spring onto the shaft, remove the o-ring and slide the spring off of the shaft. With the spring off of the shaft the plunger will lift out of the solenoid, I think there is a small coil spring in the bore of the solenoid, don't loose it.
Zoom in on the picture below, it should ansewer your questions.
