Inboard/Outboard:

This may sound stupid, but when in reverse, I notice that when I am backing, and turned all the way to the right, the boat will spin around just fine, but when I turn all the way to the left, the boat doesn't want to spin the opposite direction, sorta just moves straight back, etc.

I may have the two above reversed, but I do know one way is fine and the other has little difference. I checked the steering and it is fine both ways.

Is this normal?

Re: Question on Reverse

What drive system? Very typical with a single propeller. Best you get used to it . . . Bravo 3s and Duo-props and twin engines solve this.

Re: Question on Reverse

try turning with a bungee still attached to the drive :), yep, I did that! Not helpful for you, but hopefully funny!

Re: Question on Reverse

yep, normal. nature of the beast...

for the direction it won't go. try turning the helm hard over that direction in neu. then give it a short bust of reverse then back to neu. repeat as necessary..

other than that. back to nature of the beast..

Re: Question on Reverse

Yup ^^^

Another trick is to put her in forward hardover the opposite way, and then neutral, crank wheel hardover the other way, bump reverse and she'll swing around if you have room and time to do it.
