Just bought the boat and have started checking things out before the fishing season starts. As with any used boat, it is hard to tell what previous owners have done or not done. One major issue I am trying to figure out is the live well. I really want a working live well but I can not figure out where/what the intake pump is. The livewell is up front on the passenger side. I pulled the plywood off the bow of the boat as it was rotten. This gave me access to the live well and the hoses running in and out. I traced the fill hose (across to the driver side and then where is disappears under the floor toward the stern). At the stern, the only livewell hose I can identify is the one that drains the livewell. Of course the aerator pump switch on the console does nothing so I am rather stuck. The main floor was replaced and carpeted so I really don't want to pull that up although that should reveal all the plumbing. There are 3 holes in the back of the boat, one is the main drain, another is where the livewell drains, and the third appears to be capped off as I can see in the bilge.

Anybody who has one of these boats or knows of any plumbing/wiring diagrams would be great! If anyone has gutted and restored one of these boats, ANY insight or tips would be appreciated! THanks!

At one time the Magna was Trackers premier aluminum fishing boat. Over time and changes in ownership neglect sets in. The three holes in your stern are for the bilge drain, live well drain and live well intake pump. If you have access to the wiring and intake hose at the stern, installing a live well/aerator pump is rather easy and can be done for around $50. The members here can and will guide you through the process. Contact Tracker Marine, they might be able to provide you with a wiring/plumbing diagram. POST PICTURES>>>WE ALL LOVE PICTURES!

That was the intake.

Pretty hard to install a new pump if the plumbing is gone.

May need to move flow, ago without a livewell.

I was afraid that third hole was the original intake. I would probably need to take up the main floor to see what remains of the original intake line then? What I find strange is that there aren't any other holes into the bilge area that would have originally had a water line coming in. The livewell drain line comes right into the bilge from under the floor. Is there any way the intake and drain hoses are the same? I will work on getting some pictures posted of what I can see in the bilge area. I guess I could always pack a 5 gal bucket and be my own intake pump!

On a side note, I have read several posts about the horrors of water logged foam that is under the floor. If i do end up taking the whole floor out, I will probably tackle that as well. Any tips on what to put back in to provide better drainage to the bilge?
