Thanks for the response to my earlier question on this newly acquired engine, but I have a few more before I try to start it.
Model # J3BRCEC Year 1989
A)There are two turn buttons in the front, one is for the gas turn-on (left one) and what is the one next to it on the right for(no label or picture)? The gas one pulls out, is that some sort of choke also?

B)I notice that there are three screws on the upper cover unit. The ones in the front and rear release the lower plastic housing cover, but the one on the top in the middle I'm not to sure of. If I remove it to get underneath, will everything go "SPROING", or does this remove the cover, contained pull cord unit and attached gas tank only?

C) If I can get it started, and not having to bring it into a repair shop for a check over, how much water pressure should I be getting out of the unit before I know that I might need an impeller replaced since it doesn't have a **** hole but what looks like several leaker holes on the shaft?

D)Are there any know lemon issues or quirks with this model engine to look out for or do they seem to be pretty stable units?

E) Is there a site somewhere you can download an owners manual for this engine?

F) If there is no longer a way to get an owners manual, which repair book would be the best one to purchase? I'm pretty handy but never worked on a small boat engine before, but would appreciate the challenge if the book was detailed and maybe showed some pictures in process or detailed hands on verbage. Hate to tear something apart only to bring it in for someone to reassemble.

Sorry if these questions sound basic but I sure can use your expertise in getting my son & I fishing as soon as possible. Thanks again to all of you who respond to all of our questions on a daily basis.
