I got a new electronic ignition system from Hot spark. I installed it and the engine runs with it, so I know I didn't cross any wires.
My question is about the timing. Using a timing gun I set the the timing to 6 degrees. the problem being the distributor needs to be rotated past its furthest point for the screw hole in order for there to be correct timing. Is there any way to adjust the base plate on the distributor to allow the distributor to line up with the hole on the block while keeping the correct timing? Any help is appreciated.
