My prop I've been using has finally spun a hub. I sent it off so I will be boat less for about 6 days. In this time of waiting I just been wondering. I'm having it re conditioned and re hubbed and all. When they re cup and make sure the ears are correct, will I see a big difference? Before I sent it off there was some very small chips and there was hardly any shape to the ears as far as the cupping goes if that makes sense

Re: Quick Question

Are you just having it repaired or labbed? If its just being repaired, probably not. If your getting a full lab job, then yes... it will be like driving a different boat.

Re: Quick Question

Will it make a difference? Depends on if it was the right prop to startwith and even then if the set up was as good as it could be. What brand / style prop do you have? Once you post what your numbers were when the prop was new we can calculate the percentage of slip. And even if it was a great combo we have to hope the prop repair shop has the right pitch blocks for the design.

Also tell us a bit about your hull. To get maximum efficiency you have to match your hull design with your prop design and fine tune it with set up.
