Quick shift cable/interrupt questions...

Is the shift interrupt system supposed to work while the engine is running on muffs? Or only when there is a load at the prop ( IE: actually in water )?

Ayuh,... Only in the water....

If it works on the wagon, ya probably need a new lower cable...

That's actually what I was thinking, and hoping. I just did a full transom service ( with new cable ) and noticed it wasn't jumbling the engine when shifting in the yard. I followed all the routing and adjustment procedures as outlined in the manual, so I should be good to go. Just have to water test it before I untie from the dock to make sure. Thanks.
