Is the shift interrupt system supposed to work while the engine is running on muffs? Or only when there is a load at the prop ( IE: actually in water )?
That's actually what I was thinking, and hoping. I just did a full transom service ( with new cable ) and noticed it wasn't jumbling the engine when shifting in the yard. I followed all the routing and adjustment procedures as outlined in the manual, so I should be good to go. Just have to water test it before I untie from the dock to make sure. Thanks.
