quick steering question.

i need a new steering system for the project boat.. which is a 14ft columbian
would this work?

You want to get one that is going to last and you don't have to mess with for awhile, but do what you think is best. Follow your gut!

I really haven't heard of any bad product that Iboats indorses, So I would guess that if Iboats is selling it than it will be a good quality part, you have cheaper ones and you have better ones, It all depends on what you want to spend.

UFlex supplies Mercury with the Verado cylinders and helm pumps. That should answer your question.
