Quicksilver 3000 Commander Controller

How do you get the damn handle off of the control unit? Instructions say that must be in throttle only pos. to remove throttle button. How do you remove the throt butt? Do you remove the screw at the back of the handle? If so with how small a snubnose? It's makin me crazy!!!!!

Merc says to push in the center button, push the handle fully to wot and then take a very small pick,or even two, and "flip" the button out! Then inside where the button was, is a brass hex head bolt 11/16 ths in size, remove that and the handle will come off. You can slip off the top and bottom pieces and then access the 3 7/16ths mounting screws that haole the inner box to the outer ring on the side of the hull.
