My Quicksilver 3000 shifter will not allow it to go into gear all the way. Throttle button stuck in all the time and is non-repairable. Its from 89 Glastron X-19. Thanks!

Hi there, One option to try would be if you do a Google search for a "Quicksilver 3000 shifter for sale" you might be able to come up with a new controller if you can't seem to repair your old one.

Re: Quicksilver 3000

Your local Mercury marine dealer or iboats has them for sale. I had a 3000 and I got tired of the black button not wanting to do what it is supposed to do. I wanted the 2000 for reasons apparently not a problem for you and since it is a surface mount and not an in-bulkhead mount as the 3000 is, it would be unsightly for you. Got a new one with cable for about $250. Your 3000 should be about the same.

One thing about money and buying something you need. Money is puked and that's the end of it. What you purchased with that puked money will be with you as long as you have it. Buy what you want and maybe spend a few bucks more and get what will work for you.....then kick back and enjoy. Not long and the puked money is just a distant memory rather than, geez, I wish.......................

Hmm. I did not know that was a rule.

Forum Rules

In particular, read rule #8...

8. You may not solicit any personal transaction (buy, sell, free, donate, etc.) in the forum. This includes solicitations for charitable and non-profit causes.....

When you joined the site you did read the rules, didn't you....
